Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 22, 2026
NovaReelOS is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.
1 Our Commitment
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including:
- Visual impairments (blindness, low vision, color blindness)
- Hearing impairments (deafness, hard of hearing)
- Motor impairments (limited fine motor control, tremors)
- Cognitive impairments (learning disabilities, attention disorders)
Accessibility is not a one-time effort -- it is an ongoing commitment embedded in our development process.
2 What We Do
We implement the following accessibility features across NovaReelOS:
- Keyboard navigation -- all interactive elements are reachable and operable using keyboard-only navigation (Tab, Enter, Escape, arrow keys)
- Screen reader support -- semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and landmark roles ensure compatibility with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
- Color contrast -- text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Focus indicators -- visible focus outlines on all interactive elements for keyboard users
- Responsive design -- content adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200%
- Text alternatives -- images and media include descriptive alt text where applicable
- Consistent navigation -- sidebar and page structure remain consistent across all pages
- Error identification -- form errors are clearly identified with descriptive messages
3 Known Limitations
While we strive for full compliance, some areas may have limitations:
- User-uploaded videos -- we cannot guarantee that all creator-uploaded video content includes captions or audio descriptions. We encourage creators to add captions to their content.
- LIVE streaming -- real-time LIVE studio features may have limited screen reader support during active streams. We are actively improving this.
- Third-party embeds -- content embedded from external platforms may not meet our accessibility standards.
- Legacy pages -- some older pages may not yet meet all WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. These are being updated on a rolling basis.

- Add captions or subtitles to videos
- Use descriptive text in post captions
- Avoid text embedded solely in images without alternative text
- Consider color contrast in custom graphics and thumbnails
