1 DMCA Overview
NovaReelOS respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on our platform without authorization, you may submit a takedown request. If your content was removed and you believe it was done in error, you may file a counter-notice.
2 How the Process Works
- Step 1: Rights holder submits a takedown request identifying the infringing content
- Step 2: NovaReelOS reviews the request and, if valid, removes or disables access within 48 hours
- Step 3: The uploader is notified and may file a counter-notice
- Step 4: If a valid counter-notice is received, the rights holder has 10 business days to file a court action
- Step 5: If no court action is filed, content is restored within 14 business days
3 Good Faith Requirements
All DMCA requests must be made in good faith. Filing false or fraudulent claims is a violation of federal law (17 U.S.C. 512(f)) and may result in liability for damages, including costs and attorney fees. NovaReelOS reserves the right to terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
